I think it’s funny that a few weeks ago when I was teaching a class on technology at the local univesity (I teach senior tech for folks who want to use their devices better through an outreach program), I was asked how important it was to have a VPN for security.
I literally “poo-poo’d” the idea. VPN? Why, that’s overkill for you, my good Sir.
And then the state of Mississippi goes and makes a liar out of me.
This week Mississippi annouced that residents would no longer be able to access pornography sites without presenting valid ID.
Cue Facepalm meme.
Granted, erotica is NOT PORNOGRAPHY—but neither is Michalangelo’s David (for those playing the home version and keeping up with events).
So, now I get to figure out how to VPN to all my sites for my reasearch and writing. Sorry, sometimes I need inspriation and p0rn is a great place to get it when I write erotica! I just don’t wanna have to out myself to the state, ya know.
With that said, I’m going to publish more. I’m feeling super lost right now. Personal life is flipped as I work from Omaha instead of Mississippi. True, I have more time to publish in Omaha, but my heart loves the environment of the farm.
It’s true I’ve taken a break from writing for the last month. I feel that I am ready to do this again now that I’ve had a break. Susan was big for me. It was a major milestone to finish a series. I guess feeling lost after something like that is normal.
Again, a warning. My brain has been all sci-fied out lately. Get ready for some freaky stuff.
